Spotlighting Disease Management and Nutrition: Highlights from AquaTropics Forum 2025

September 24, 2025

The AquaTropics Forum returned for its second edition on 24 September, gathering audience from across Singapore’s aquaculture ecosystem—industry leaders and farmers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and public sector representatives—for a day of focused discussion and exchange. The strong turnout and active participation underscored a shared commitment to advancing practical, science-driven solutions that strengthen farm performance and sector resilience.

Centered on the theme “How Science Meets Industry: Health & Nutrition,” the programme showcased the latest thinking and applications at the science–industry interface. Participants engaged across talks, exhibitions, and interactive sessions designed to translate research into practice and accelerate adoption on farms.

Programme features included:

  • Presentations on biosecurity, disease management, and nutrition
  • Showcases from solution providers and AquaPolis AquaTIC consortium members
  • A short but lively panel discussion to close the day

Discussions highlighted lessons from regional and global aquaculture, pointing to actionable ways to refine our local aquaculture landscape—strengthening biosecurity, health, nutrition, husbandry, and the translation pathway from science to farm. The Forum also enabled extensive networking, seeding stronger industry–academia partnerships and opening avenues for joint pilots, data-sharing, and co-development.

On behalf of the organising committee—AquaPolis, Singapore Food Agency, and the Urban Solutions & Sustainability Innovation & Enterprise Office (USS IEO), a heartfelt thank you to all participants, speakers, and partners for your continued support and for making AquaTropics Forum 2025 a success! We look forward to building on the momentum with more opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and scale what works across Singapore’s aquaculture ecosystem.
