World Aquaculture Singapore 2026 gathered aquaculture professionals from around the world for several days of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking. AquaPolis was proud to co-organise the Singapore Pavilion alongside the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), bringing Singapore’s aquaculture innovation ecosystem to a global stage.
As part of the event, AquaPolis and SFA jointly organised a special session, the AquaPolis–SFA Singapore Session (AquaTropics 2026). This dedicated forum highlighted Singapore’s aquaculture research, technology development, and translational efforts towards sustainable seafood production.
The session centred on three themes: “Industry-Led Innovation Highlights,” “Latest R&D Outcomes in Singapore,” and “Early R&D Collaborations in Singapore.” Its success owed much to our invited speakers and to the enthusiasm of the audience.
Jointly set up by SFA and AquaPolis, the Singapore Pavilion showcased SFA’s industry-support initiatives, R&D projects, and members of the AquaTIC Industry Consortium. Across three packed days, it brought together researchers, industry partners, and start-ups; connected farmers, investors, and technology providers from around the world; and sparked conversations we hope will translate into tangible, lasting impact.
As AquaPolis’ industry consortium, AquaTIC brings together companies, start-ups, and technology partners to support collaboration, innovation, and translation in Singapore’s aquaculture sector. AquaTIC consortium members on show included Blue Aqua, Blue Ocean Harvest, Hatch Blue, INVE, Marquis Global Energy, MSD Animal Health, Opal Resources, RAS Aqua, Trimarine & Bolton Research, Singapore Aquaculture Technologies, UVAXX, and Vertical Oceans. The Pavilion also highlighted emerging start-ups such as Water Doctor, founded by Prof He Jian Zhong from NUS, and Loop for Bio, founded by Dr Ezequiel Santillan from NTU, reflecting the growing pipeline of aquaculture technologies emerging from Singapore’s research and innovation community.

The energy and engagement at the Singapore Pavilion reaffirmed our belief that research creates real-world impact only when it is built together. AquaPolis leaves WAS2026 with new connections, renewed momentum, and a strengthened commitment to supporting Singapore’s aquaculture ecosystem alongside our partners.
