We are proud to support our Aquaculture Technologies Industry Consortium (AquaTIC) member, INVE Aquaculture, for a workshop on Biosecurity. Co-organised with the Singapore Food Agency’s Marine Aquaculture Centre, the workshop combined expert-led theory with field-ready guidance to elevate biosecurity and disease management on farms.
We were honoured to have Dr Andrew Shinn (INVE Aquaculture) deliver a focused session on managing and treating tropical marine parasites in fish and shrimp—translating complex pathology into practical protocols. Complementing this, specialists from the Singapore Food Agency, VetTrust Singapore Consulting and Solutions, and INVE Aquaculture shared perspectives on surveillance frameworks, incident response, and the strategic use of probiotics in aquaculture.
The depth of discussion and strong farmer participation underscored the urgency and value of implementing robust, everyday biosecurity measures. These are the foundations of a resilient, high-performance aquaculture system—reducing risk, shortening recovery times, and enabling sustainable growth.
