Singapore Food Agency

As the lead agency for food-related matters, the Singapore Food Agency’s mission is to ensure and secure a supply of safe food for Singapore. SFA works hand-in-hand with the industry and consumers to grow our three “food baskets” – Diversify import sources, Grow local, and Grow overseas, as well as ensure food safety from farm-to-fork. SFA also partners food businesses to strengthen capabilities, tap on technologies to raise productivity, undertake research to develop new lines of business, and catalyse industry transformation to ensure food security.

National University of Singapore

The National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore’s flagship university, offers a global approach to education, research and entrepreneurship, with a focus on Asian perspectives and expertise. We have 16 colleges, faculties and schools across three campuses in Singapore, with more than 40,000 students from 100 countries enriching our vibrant and diverse campus community. We have also established more than 20 NUS Overseas Colleges entrepreneurial hubs around the world.
Our multidisciplinary and real-world approach to education, research and entrepreneurship enables us to work closely with industry, governments and academia to address crucial and complex issues relevant to Asia and the world. Researchers in our faculties, research centres of excellence, corporate labs and more than 30 university-level research institutes focus on themes that include energy; environmental and urban sustainability; treatment and prevention of diseases; active ageing; advanced materials; risk management and resilience of financial systems; Asian studies; and Smart Nation capabilities such as artificial intelligence, data science, operations research and cybersecurity.

Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory

Established in 2002, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (TLL) is a beneficiary of Temasek Trust. Our vision is to build a preeminent organization of global talent to undertake cutting-edge, bio-molecular science research and applications to benefit people in Asia and beyond.
TLL focuses primarily on understanding the cellular mechanisms that underlie the development and physiology of plants, fungi and animals. Research is carried out in a range of life science disciplines, to uncover new translatable knowledge that secure a safer and more sustainable environment.
